Maping secure drive where generic connection exists

I have small office in the house and have a windows workstation which serves for public filesharing with family members.... Pictures, movies files.... The machine also houses my work/business files which are in a private directory (shared with named access) when I try to map to the drive after initial startup (enter uname and PW) I get the message windows about already being connected to the system and can not connect again.... Is there a way I can book the system and have it connect by default with by secure ID and not 1st map to the public folders
