Does shell hardware detect services anything to do with cd drive not reading

Sir, I wrote my comments and posted, but not found here. I have just enabled the shell hardware detection service in services. msc to get rid of the problem. I have not done anything other than this and my problem solved. My question is does this service stoppage has anything to do with the problem? How it automatically stops itself or by a virus or something . Which stops this service. sir

Yes that shell hardware detection service is responsible for Auto-starts - so it did not really fix your CD drive it only re-enabled autostart for that drive

If you disable that service, then hit Windows key + E and try to open the CD drive manually it should also work

It is safe to enable this service, so don't bother and move on, be happy that it works :)
