No, because Windows 8 is optimized for solid state drives, therefor you won’t be required to align the partitions manually as Windows 8 will do it automatically. The same applies for Windows 7. Under Windows XP or earlier, though, manual partition alignment is necessary in order to obtain the best results and increase the lifespan of the solid state drive.
