Burn DVD, put on USB or install on Virtual PC?

Totally depends on your intentions. If you only want to test it for some time, you can simply install it on a Virtual PC

However, to really get a feeling for the OS I suggest to put it on a USB device and then install it. I'm usually too lazy to burn a DVD because it takes longer than copying the installation files to a USB device

Here's how you would install Windows 8 on a USB

You can get the USB DVD Download tool from Microsoft's store http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool
