My Windows 8 takes like forever to boot up what can I do about it?

What can I do about slow boot time

Windows 8 is designed such that it can boot really fast. If you find that your Windows is taking time to boot up, what you do is that go to the start up programs and disable programs that load themselves when Windows 8 is booting.

It's very possible that your hardware might slow down things, it's therefore recommended to unplug external hard drives, card readers, etc

Also if possible try a system restore if you believe it was faster before. If you are familiar with sfc.exe run it. Simply enter sfc.exe /scannow into an elevated command prompt

Also, try to check for new drivers for Windows 8

Check your event log for and critical issues

You can use the "resource monitor" to analyze problems
