How Windows 8 authenticate wireless network connectivity?

Windows 8 uses some wireless based authentication like EAP-TTLS,Sim Based Authentication,Wireless Internet Service Provider Roaming etc.

Windows 8 can authenticate network connectivity either manually or automatically by the use of Wi-Fi wireless settings without configuring from the desktop mode. This becomes the central point of network, since you can connect the device to the router which is used as the interface for the wired network.
